I didn't know beef could melt in your mouth. This amazing brisket melts in your mouth. Do low carb, don't get a sandwich just get a half pound of brisket. No need for bread.

First time trying Texas barbecue and this place is supposed to be the very best from multiple sources. I ordered one item due to my limited budget but it was also their most coveted item the beef rib. The good : texture was amazing I think what matters the most to Texans for barbecue is moistness/texture. This was the most tender rib I've ever had. 5/5 The bad : I don't think that it was worth $45. Overall what is equally or maybe even more important for me is the overall flavor of the rib, a.k.a. the dry rub and sauce. It's very obvious they use a mustard bind to get the meat so tendered which is a very common practice by famous Pitmasters... as you can still kind of taste the mustard. The overalls dry rub was heavy on black pepper with a little bit of salt. There was very little nuance. In my opinion, Lucille's, which is a national chain may have lower quality meat and in general dryer meat ... but more tasty regarding their rub and sauces ....as far as barbecue restaurant chains . 3/5 4/5 total for the rib . If you see them putting meat on you can ask for a mini tour of the pit which is why I bumped the original rating to from 3/5 to 4/5 overall for the experience. --- Bonus, as I was almost about to drive to my next destination, I was looking at other reviews, and I realize that they offered a black margarita . Black is my favorite color .. probably one of the reasons why I was really drawn to/ interested in trying this restaurant out. Margaritas are also among my favorite cocktails. 3/5. Margarita taste like a blood orange frozen margarita with added purple dye . Bartender who was nice. Also said there was some mezcal in it however, if she hadn't told me, it would be somewhat easy to miss as it is really faint in the cocktail. So if you don't like smoky mezcal don't let it deter you from trying this drink . Overall, I'm glad I had a chance to try it, but I probably would not go back unless someone else invited and paid for me !!!

I had lunch at Terry Black's after a recommendation from my driver -- I had never heard of it before, but I'm so glad I gave it a shot. From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was market-style. I really appreciated the clear signage explaining how to order, which made navigating the bustling space a lot smoother. In the middle of all the movement, I met David, who was so kind and welcoming. His warm energy stood out, especially in a place that could easily feel overwhelming due to its size and popularity. As I made my way through the line, I started with the sides, and everyone I interacted with was just as gracious as David. I ended up with sweet tea, potato salad, green beans, brisket, and peach cobbler -- and let me tell you, my eyes were rolling to the back of my head with how good everything was. Every bite was flavorful, comforting, and cooked to perfection. The brisket was tender and rich, the sides were fresh and balanced, and that peach cobbler? Pure Southern bliss. Seating options were great -- both indoor and outdoor, with covered and uncovered areas -- giving you the flexibility to enjoy your meal however you like. Between the delicious food, thoughtful layout, and exceptional hospitality (shoutout to David again), I truly couldn't have asked for anything more. If you're in town, Terry Black's isn't just a meal -- it's an experience worth savoring.

Pulling up to Terry Black's BBQ while visiting Dallas with my family was only right The food was undeniably delicious--the brisket, and sausage all hit the mark in terms of flavor and quality. However, the prices were on the higher side, which made the meal feel a bit expensive for what it was. Being my first time there, I was a little disappointed with the customer service. The staff, though friendly, seemed a bit rushed during my visit. In particular, I was curious about the three different BBQ sauces they offer, but the lady who assisted me didn't mention that they had multiple options until I specifically inquired. A little extra guidance would have enhanced the overall dining experience! Overall, it was ample parking and a lot of seating outside or inside. There's room for improvement in the service department. I'll likely return, but I hope my next visit feels a bit more accommodating, especially for newcomers.

We were in Dallas for a weekend visit and wanted to try out some Dallas BBQ. Got here on a Sunday afternoon early and glad we got there early. There is already in line but it moved quickly. I ordered the brisket. It was delicious. Perfect amount of smoke and seasoning. The sides are awesome I got the macaroni and cheese and it was probably one of the best I've had at a barbecue restaurant. My wife got the smoked beef sandwich I think and she loved it. I read somewhere that they make 5,000 lb of brisket a week at that location. I can see why!
